Description:
The Small Apollo looks much like the Apollo. The main differences are found in the antennae which in the Apollo is narrowly ringed with a darker gray. The red spots on the
upper sides of the fore-wings of the Small Apollo are better developed than those of the Apollo.
Flight period:
One brood from July to August.
Larval host plants:
Saxifraga aizoides.
