Jan Weima
tells about himself: Although I make many pictures of butterflies, I do not consider myself a specialist but rather a generalist, a photographer of natural scenery, flowering wild plants, and living fauna. As such I have produced a great number of AudioVisual series, particularly in natural reserves and other interesting habitats. This hobby began to fill much of my leisure time after I retired as a university professor of psychology, and my attention has been drawn more and more to the field of butterfly and moth photography. Since this demands a high degree of mobility, I keep my photographic equipment as simple as possible, almost always using my Leica RE with an Elmar 180mm and an Elpro closeup lens. I use a flash only when it is absolutely necessary, and I never use a tripod. |
This is in Spain, I was looking for Melanargia ines. |
