A female hatches!

It looks for a place to unfold its wings.

Now the wings were unfolded.

It pumps blood into the wing's veins and slowly the wings were unfolded to full size.

The blood has been pumped back to dry the wings. Ready! The Brown Hairstreak shows its underside .... ... and its top side.
