Metamorphosis of Saturnia pavonia

Even moths are beautiful butterflies! As a good example may serve Saturnia pavonia:

A female is laying eggs.

Lots of eggs are been layed on a small twig.

The first tiny caterpillar hatched:

One after the other hatches out.

Even the pollen-stalks are tasting good.

The second skin. A yellowish stripe is visible.
